Senior Sales Engineer

The ideal candidate will have a background in corporate networking, security and/or mobile communications. Primary responsibilities are to provide support functions to sales team and channel partners for Bluesocket, Inc. In this mission-critical role, you will be the bridge to VAR partners and clients and will provide pre-sales product support and second-line post-sales support to both end users and partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating proposals and delivering technical presentations on Bluesocket products and services
  • Respond to partner and customers' technical questions and provide customer application and network engineering support
  • Be the primary liaison point between partners, customers and internal R&D, Engineering, Product Marketing, and Operations

Required Skills:

  • 5-10 years of direct industry experience as a Sales Engineer
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate at technical and non-technical levels at various audience platforms
  • Thorough understanding of Local and Wide Area Networks and IP Protocols
  • Understanding of IP wireless protocols and infrastructure
  • Experience deploying secure 802.11 a/b/g wireless networks
  • Strong understanding of Security protocols and standards
  • Experience with RADIUS, LDAP, SQL, and RSA Tokens
  • Ability to work independently and to follow through on projects
  • Willingness to travel
  • BSCS/EE or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

  • Track record of successfully delivering throughout the customer's sales cycle
  • Interoperability testing experience within various wireless products
  • Experience using Wireless Site Survey & RF Management tools
  • Sales qualification (budget, timeframe, etc.) background
