More than 3000 Customers Put Their Trust in Bluesocket for Enterprise Mobility Solutions

Burlington, Mass., November 27, 2007 - Bluesocket, Inc., the leader in trusted wireless access and enterprise mobility, today announced that its impressive and diverse customer base has surpassed 3,000 organizations, and is among the largest in the enterprise mobility and wireless LAN (WLAN) market. This achievement underscores the value that Bluesocket’s secure wireless networking solutions deliver to customers across a variety of markets. In addition, the company’s increasing innovation around next-generation wireless technology has helped it to expand its customer base worldwide to more than 47 countries.

“Moving into 2008, customers are looking for an easy to use, secure solution that addresses all the challenges associated with increasingly complex WLAN environments,” said Philippe Winthrop, Research Director in Aberdeen Group’s Wireless and Mobility Research Practice. “Bluesocket has been successful in building a solid, proven WLAN offering that has garnered the attention of a global customer base. As the company integrates Pingtel’s VoIP solutions into its product line and executes on its convergence solution strategy, it has the unique opportunity to penetrate new vertical markets and capture market share.”

In the past year, Bluesocket has accelerated both new customer acquisition and follow-on sales to existing customers, strengthening a customer base that spans several key vertical markets including education, enterprise, healthcare, hospitality and government.

Several new customers have purchased both wireless infrastructure and voice over IP (VoIP) solutions from Bluesocket, taking advantage of the converged mobility and unified communications strategy the company is executing since its acquisition of Pingtel - a leader in SIP-based enterprise communications solutions.

“The value proposition of Bluesocket supplying and supporting wireless network and voice infrastructure solutions is very compelling to our customers,” said Paul O'Brien, President of Lincoln Computer Services - a systems integration consulting firm located in New York.  “Both solutions provide the ease of use, dependability and scalability to deliver immediate productivity gains and return on investment.  Bluesocket’s enterprise mobility vision also allows our customers to build a competitive advantage into how they approach communications planning moving forward.”

The majority of Bluesocket’s wireless LAN customer transactions now include both its BlueSecure Controllers and BlueSecure Access Points. Driving the company’s complete mobility solution sales are features such as end-to-end application Quality of service (QoS) support; a full-featured stateful-inspection layer-3 firewall; robust role-based authentication; and integrated guest access and credit card billing. Additionally, Bluesocket is currently the only vendor with second generation multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) technology.  With thousands of enterprise MIMO access points shipped, Bluesocket has gained valuable real-world experience deploying MIMO technology, a key element of the coming 802.11n standard.

“Bluesocket has continued to meet our demanding criteria for increased mobility without compromising security and reliability. Their commitment to ease of use and a continuous strive for technological improvements are the qualities we look for in a long-term relationship,” said Leebrian Gaskins, Associate VP for IT/CIO at Texas A&M International University.

“With a steady offering of innovative, flexible technology, customers have come to recognize and depend on Bluesocket’s ability to provide a clear path to next-generation wireless solutions,” said Mads Lillelund, president and CEO at Bluesocket. “As evident by this year’s acquisition of Pingtel, we are fully committed to meeting our customers’ expectations and bringing to market a complete, converged WLAN and VoIP solution.  Our customer base will continue to expand because of our commitment to innovation, paired with Bluesocket’s trusted product line.”
