As a member of the Access Point development team, you will be responsible to design and implement embedded software for Bluesocket’s wireless products. Your primary responsibility will be the radio driver and 802.11 protocol processing; however, you will be given the opportunity to contribute in many aspects of the wireless products.
The candidate should be interested in working on a small, focused team in a fast paced dynamic environment.
Required Skills:
- BS and (MS a plus) in computer science or computer/electrical engineering with 5-7 years of development work experience.
- Experience with networking software for real-time embedded systems.
- Excellent C programming skills.
- Solid knowledge of Linux kernel and device drivers in an embedded environment.
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols: IP, UDP, TCP, DHCP, Ethernet, and VLANs.
- Candidates should be self-directed and able to drive issues to resolution.
- Team-oriented with good organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of 802.11 protocols
- Wireless chipset driver development (Atheros, Airgo, Broadcom, or Conexant)
- Experience with PowerPC or MIPS processors
